Abstract:
This paper applies space weighting method to rebuild geomagnetic missing data based on the high correlation of observatory data in the range of 1 000 km. The simulation results show that variation of rebuilt data is consis-tent to that of original data, and their average residual is 0.11 nT in quiet day, and reaches 0.23 nT in disturbed day. The correlation of their power spectral density reaches up to 1.0. Furthermore, the space weighting method is verified to be effective for geomagnetic data reconstruction in time and frequency domains, and also achieves good results in the actual data reconstruction.
