CHARACTERISTICS OF SURFACE RUPTURE OF EL ASNAM (ALGERIA) EARTTHQUAKE AND THE STUDY OF PALEOSEISMIC EVENTS

  • 摘要: 阿斯南7.5级地震的主破裂属于挤压-剪切性质.在断层逆冲盘和尾端,发育大量平行或斜交于主断面的次生张性裂缝.主破裂带长36km,垂直位错量1.5——2m,水平位错量1.5m. 地震破裂带上发育许多古地震、古断错.根据各种断错参数的测量和对比分析,发现同级地震原地重复发生的时间间隔约为596年.
    Abstract: The Main rupture of the El Asnam M=7.5 earthquake is characterized by compression-shearing. A series of parallel or oblique secondary extensional fractures developed on the thrusted wall and the trail of the fault. The main fracture zone was 36 km in length,with vertical dislocation of 1.5-2 m and horizontal dislocation of 1.5 m.Many evidences for paleoearthquake and paleo-dislocation have been found all along the seismic rupture zone. Based on the measurements and comparison analysis of various parameters of dislocations. It is determined that the recurrence interval of earthquake with similar magnitude,in the same area is about 596 years.
