用瑞雷波广义方向性函数研究5-6级地震的破裂过程c

A STUDY OF FRACTURE PROCESS OF EARTHQUAKES WITH MAGNITUDES,M_s = 5-6 BY THE GENERALIZED DIRECTIVITY FUNCTION OF RAYLEIGH WAVES

  • 摘要: 本文直接利用瑞雷波广义方向性函数极小值的周期与台站相对于破裂方向的方位角的关系,估计了1979年6月19日山西省介休5.1级地震及1979年7月9日江苏省溧阳6.0级地震的破裂方向、破裂长度和破裂速度。结果表明,这两次地震都是以走向滑动为主,介休地震破裂方向是南南东,破裂速度为1.1公里/秒,破裂长度为11公里。溧阳地震破裂方向是南东,破裂速度为2.5公里/秒,破裂长度为15公里。这些结果与断层面解符合得较好。

     

    Abstract: In this paper, the directions and the total length of the earthquake rupture as well as the velocity of rupture have been determined for the Jiexiu earthquake (Ms = 5.1), Shansi Province of June 19,1979 and the Li Yian earthquake (Ms = 6.0) Jiangsu Province of July 9,1979 by using directly the relation between the station azimuth relative to the rupture direction and the minimum period of the generalized directivity function of Eayleigh waves.The results show that both earthquakes are mainly strike-slip in character. The direction of rupture of the .Jie Xiu earthquake is south-southeast at a velocity of 1.1 km/sec, and total length, 11km, while the direction of rupture of the Liyian earthquake is southeast at a velocity of 2.5 km/sec, and total length, 15 km. This result agrees rather well with that of fault-plane solutions.
