开远井水位在其附近中强震前的短期变化

THE SHORT-TERM VARIATION OF WATER LEVEL IN A WELL LOCATED AT KAIYUAN, YUNNAN BEFORE EARTHQUAKE OCCURRENCES

  • 摘要: 开远井正好位于小江断裂和曲江断裂等构造的交汇处,该地区近十年来已发生过 Ms4.6的中强地震6次.根据有关资料的分析结果,我们发现:每次中强震前该井水位皆有明显的上升.这一现象可用孕震过程中应力作用的加强来解释.

     

    Abstract: The Kaiyuan Well is situated at the intersection of the Xiaojiang fault and the Oujiang Fault. Six intrmediate earthquakes of magnitudes Ms4.6 occurred in the surrounding regions during the last ten years. On the basis of the results of analysis of the relevant data, it is found that the water level of the well before any one of those earthquakes of Ms4.6 corresponds to an ascension and interpreted as stress enhancement in the course of development of the earthquake source.
