THE REVISED mLg SCALE IN THE SIX EASTERN PROVINCES OF CHINA

  • 摘要: 讨论了四种不同方法测量的Lg振幅,以及选取不同的几何衰减系数值(=5/6或1),对计算Lg波值的影响. 重新测定的中国东六省地区=0.00340.0001km-1(当=5/6),由此修订的mLg/(mxh)震级校准函数qE(△)=5/6lg△+0.00147△+1.81.
    Abstract: The influence of the four different methods of measuring Lg amplitude, and of the selection of different geometrical attenuation coefficient -values ( = 5/6 or 1) on the determined -value of Lg wave anelastic attenuation coefficient are discussed.The value = 0.0034 + 0.001km-1 for the six eastern provinces of China is re-dtermined. The revised magnitude calibration function qE()=5/6lg+0.00147+1.81 of mLg(mxh) is deduced.
