不对称双侧破裂过程的研究及其在海城地震的应用

A STUDY OF ASYMMETRICALLY BILATERAL RUPTURE PROCESS WITH APPLICATION TO THE HAICHENG EARTHQUAKE

  • 摘要: 本文计算并分析了不对称双侧破裂方式的矩形断层辐射的 P 波远场位移谱, 提出研究不对称双侧破裂过程的初步方法, 并将它应用于1975年2月4日辽宁省海城7.3级地震的震源破裂过程的研究.研究结果表明, 海城地震的破裂方式是在震源地区北西西断层上发生的不对称双侧破裂过程, 断层总长度为54公里, 主破裂朝北西西方向, 破裂长度为38公里, 破裂速度为1.3公里/秒, 向南东东方向破裂的长度为16公里, 破裂速度亦为1.3公里/秒.进而求得海城地震的震源参数为:走向滑动平均错距117厘米;倾向滑动平均错距33厘米;地震矩5.2×1026 达因·厘米;应力降22巴;应变降3.3×10-5; 释放的总能量3.4×1022尔格.

     

    Abstract: In this paper, We calculated and analysed the theoretical spectral amplitudes of the displacements of P waves in the far-field radiated from a rectangular fault whose made of rupture is bilateral and asymmetrical. A preliminary method for analyzing the rupture process is presented and applied to the study of the Haicheng earthquake which occurred on February 4, 1975. The results show that the rupture process of this shock is bilateral and asymmetrical along a NWW direction. The total length of the fault is 54 km. The principal rupture propagated 38 km in the NWW direction and 16 km in the SEE direction, both with velocity of about 1.3 km/sec. The source parameters are estimated as follows: the average dislocation of strike slip 117 cm; dip slip, 33cm; seismic moment, 5.2×1026 dyne-cm; stress drop 22 bars and strain drop, 3.3×10-5. The total energy amp;quot;released is 3.4×1022ergs.
