Abstract:
In this paper, the characteristics of the strong-motion accelerographs, recording with galvanometers and the features of the specific digitizer for analog recording are described and a method for estimation of the overall errors involved in the processed accelerograms is presented. Based on the results mentioned above, the adjusted (un-corrected) and corrected digital accelerograms and spectrum could be obtained in a unified accuracy and standardized format. It is found that the data obtained fulfill the requirements of earthquake engineering studies in broad sense.
