四川及其邻区现代构造应力场和现代构造运动特征

RECENT TECTONIC STRESS FIELD AND TECTONIC MOVEMENT OF THE SICHUAN PROVINCE AND ITS VICINITY

  • 摘要: 本文主要根据1933——1978年间76次四川地震(M5)的 P 波初动解结果, 讨论了四川现代构造应力场的分区特征及其与邻区现代构造应力场和板块构造的关系, 并结合野外地质调查和地震宏观考察的资料讨论了四川主要断裂带现代构造运动的性质.最后指出, 若用藏(西藏)——青(青海)——川(四川)块体向南东东转南东-南南东方向运动可以相当满意地解释四川乃至我国西部地区现代构造应力场和现代构造运动的主要特征.
    Abstract: This paper deals with the P-wave initial motion solutions of 76 earthquakes of magnitude greater than 5 occurred in Sichuan Province during the years 1933-1978. It discusses the particular features of the recent stress field in each separate region and its relation to the recent tectonic movement of the neighbouring regions and to plate tectonic theory. In combination with the results of geological and seismological field observations, the character of recent tectonic movement of the principal fracture systems of Sichuan Province has also been discussed. Finally, it is pointed out, that if we assume a rotation of the Tibet-Tsinghai-Szechwan block from SEE toward SE to SSE, the principal features of the recent tectonic stress and tectonic movement of Sichuan Province or entire West China can be explained.
