In the 1992 First National Evaluation of Scientific and Technological Journals, Acta Seismologica Sinica was awarded the First Prize in the First National Excellent Scientific and Technological Journal Evaluation, the First Prize in the Scientific and Technological Journal Evaluation by the China Earthquake Administration, the First Prize in the Excellent Academic Journal Evaluation by the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), and the Excellence Award in the Scientific and Technological Journal Evaluation by the Beijing Society for Science Periodicals.

In the 1996 Second National Evaluation of Scientific and Technological Journals, Acta Seismologica Sinica won the First Prize in the Scientific and Technological Journal Evaluation by the China Earthquake Administration.

In 1997, the journal received the Second Prize in the Second National Excellent Scientific and Technological Journal Evaluation and the Second Prize in the Excellent Academic Journal Evaluation by CAST.

In 1999, Acta Seismologica Sinica was honored with a nomination for the China National Journal Award.

In 2001, the journal was included in the "China Journal Matrix" and was recognized as a "Double Award Journal."

In 2002, it won the Second Prize in the Third CAST Scientific and Technological Journal Evaluation.

In 2003, Acta Seismologica Sinica was selected as one of the "Top 100 Key Journals" in the Second China National Journal Award.

In 2005, it again received the "Top 100 Key Journals" award in the Third China National Journal Award.

In 2008, the journal was recognized as a "China High-Quality Scientific and Technological Journal" by the Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China.

In 2012, Acta Seismologica Sinica was awarded the "Outstanding Academic Journal with International Impact in China."

In 2013, the journal was honored as the "Top 100 Chinese Journals" and received the "Outstanding Academic Journal with International Impact in China" award.

From 2007 to 2014, Acta Seismologica Sinica was continuously selected for the CAST High-Quality Scientific and Technological Journal Demonstration Project for eight consecutive years.

In 2014, Acta Seismologica Sinica was awarded the 2014 Outstanding Academic Journal with International Impact in China.

In 2015, Acta Seismologica Sinica was awarded the 2015 Outstanding Academic Journal with International Impact in China.

In 2016, Acta Seismologica Sinica was awarded the 2016 Outstanding Academic Journal with International Impact in China.
