Abstract
This paper demonstrates a method of determining 3-D velocity structure by seismic surface wave dispersion in a rectangular region. The wave slowness is expressed by 2-fold Fourier series and the coefficients are determined by inversion as a function of depth. Finally, the velocity is synthesized. We have used this method and computed the velocity structure for Love surface waves. The velocity plane pattern of 150 km depth is mapped.
