Abstract
We show how gravity changes due to faulting in a viscoelastic half-space can be calculated through a surface integral by applying the correspondence principle to Walsh and Rice's (1979) elastic solution. Our results show that gravity changes are independent of viscoelastic properties, and are related to the slip history in an unexpectedly simple manner.
